Terri International Christian Academy, popularly referred to as TICA, was established in September 2016. It is situated about 300 metres from the Atlantic Ocean in Abuesi, Shama District, in the Western Region of Ghana.
Pastor John Nkum Boateng and Mercy Nkum Boateng founded the school. The school started with twelve students and two teachers. After seven years, we can boast of over four hundred students and twenty-five teaching and non-teaching staff.
Our mission at TICA is clear: provide a world-standard Christian Education accessible to all. We believe that education should not be a privilege but a right. We provide Christian education at an affordable cost to families or at no cost to those families that do not have the capacity to educate their children.
The school was named after the adopted mother of Pastor John in Australia, Terri Mahar, in blessed memory of her.
At TICA, our teaching and training are child-centred and Christ-focused. So, the child or learner is at the centre of all that we do whilst we focus on building the life of Jesus Christ in them.
